What Is EarnStar?
EarnStar is what’s known as a GPT site – “get paid to.” That means they’ll pay you to complete small online tasks. On EarnStar, you can make money in three main ways:
- Taking surveys
- Playing mobile games
- Completing offers
It’s free to sign up, and you can cash out through popular methods like PayPal, Amazon gift cards, Visa prepaid cards, bank transfer, Walmart, Netflix, and more than 200 other options.
What really stood out to me is that EarnStar doesn’t use a confusing points system because you see your earnings in actual dollars. That makes it much easier to know exactly what you’re earning and whether something is worth your time.
How does EarnStar work?
Getting started is really simple. Here’s how it works:

- Log in to see the surveys, games, and offers available, and how much you can make with each.
- Complete tasks to earn cash.

The dashboard is clean and easy to navigate. There are tabs for Surveys, Offers, Leaderboard, and your Account. There’s also a special Prize Draw section that unlocks when you earn your first $5.
One of my favorite features is the survey rating system. Each survey shows a star rating and how many people have completed it. After you finish a survey, you’re asked to rate it. This is super nice, because if a survey has a really low rating or barely any completions, I can skip it. That often means people are getting screened out, or the survey is too long for the payout. It’s a small thing, but it helped me avoid wasting time.

How I made money on EarnStar
Here’s exactly what I did and how it went.
I signed up and got started by browsing through the survey tab. I chose surveys with at least a few ratings and 3 to 5 stars (out of a 5 star rating), and I earned a few dollars fairly quickly. Then I decided to try one of the higher-paying game offers just to see how that side of the platform worked and if you could really get paid to play game apps on your phone on EarnStar.

Yes, EarnStar is definitely legit. I got paid, the platform was easy to use, and everything worked as advertised. There weren’t any shady hoops to jump through, and I didn’t run into any glitches or payout issues.
Of course, not every task is going to pay big. Some surveys are just a few cents, and some games might take a while to reach each reward level. But if you’re selective and avoid the low-rated tasks, you can definitely earn some extra cash here.

Game offers were where the higher payouts were, and some were listed at $50, $100, or more for reaching certain levels. Just know that the higher the reward, the more time and effort it usually takes.
Your location also matters. I’m in the U.S., and there were plenty of tasks available. If you’re in another country, your experience might vary.
I think a realistic goal is earning a few dollars a day if you’re using it casually. And, if there’s a game that you think you would like to play, then it’s a no-brainer way to play it and actually get paid. For example, I know so many people who play solitaire on their phone and make no money – why not actually make some money if you’re going to play it anyway?
