El Torcal sunrise hike alone before the crowds, Malaga, Spain.
Hiking the amazing El Torcal de Antequera at Sunrise. I traveled to El Torcal to hike the amazing hoodoos landscape that is a UNESCO world heritage site. I arrived 6.30am in the morning to catch the sunrise at around 7. I had the park and sunrise to myself, only me and a few Iberian Ibex. As I finished the easy hiking loop at around 10 in the morning, there was an invasion of people. Apparently it was a public holiday on May 2nd, since May 1st landed on a Sunday. As I drove out of the amazing park, people where being redirected to the overflow parking at the foot of the mountain. A remarkable place set in a beautiful region, I will be back!
