The Provençal pastime is taking over the city
After opening a location on the South Bank, Boulebar is bringing the spirit of Provence to Spitalfields with a second pétanque bar. The new site features a 10-court indoor pétanque area, a mezzanine bar, greenery and colourful murals, just like a Marseille park. To play, it’s two teams per court and the aim is to be the first to reach 13 points, but apart from that you take it as seriously or make it as relaxed as you like. It’s pretty easy to pick up some pétanque knowledge but if want to become a real pro, at Boulebar you can partner up with expert pétanque guides to get some top tips and even host tournaments.
