The Hudson Yards outpost of Italian marketplace Eataly has officially opened its doors. Located on the fourth level of the Shops & Restaurants at 20 Hudson Yards, Eataly Caffè marks the brand’s fourth New York City location and introduces a new concept featuring a coffee counter, grab-and-go options, and quick-service items ranging from pastries and sandwiches to gelato. The 5,500-square-foot, 82-seat space also includes a location-exclusive wine bar offering a variety of Italian wines, cocktails, and shareable plates.

The Hudson Yards opening is the second Eataly Caffè in NYC, following the debut of the format at Rockefeller Center on May 15. Designed to be “dynamic and accessible,” the new concept is tailored for high-traffic locations such as malls, city centers, and airports.
The coffee menu exclusively features Eataly’s own blend, made from 100 percent Arabica beans sourced from high-altitude regions in Central America, South America, and Ethiopia, and roasted in Italy.
“We are incredibly excited to inaugurate our very first Eataly Caffè locations, especially in the city that welcomed us stateside nearly 15 years ago,” Tommaso Brusò, CEO of Eataly North America, said last month. “As a true icon of New York City, we are thrilled to open at Rockefeller Center, adding to its unparalleled entertainment, retail, and dining.”
Brusò continued: “Overall, our mission with Eataly Caffè is to provide a taste of the Italian art of living, and we cannot wait to welcome in guests very soon.”

Eataly announced its Hudson Yards location in August 2024, continuing its expansion across the five boroughs following the opening of its third NYC store in Soho in November 2023.
Located in a landmarked building at 200 Lafayette Street, the Soho store showcases authentic Italian goods, a specialty market with curated Italian and local delicacies, a restaurant, and an all-day cafe. The store measures roughly 20,000 square feet, with the restaurant serving as its anchoring experience. The eatery offers a vast menu featuring signature dishes including handmade fresh pasta, pizza, seafood, and meat dishes, as 6sqft previously reported.

Eataly is also opening three stores at John F. Kennedy International Airport at Terminals 4, 5, and 8.
The acclaimed Italian marketplace first arrived in the Big Apple in 2010 when it opened its flagship store in the Flatiron District, followed by a second Manhattan store near the World Trade Center in 2016. Eataly now has 13 North American locations and over 50 stores worldwide.
