Harley’s will be doing rare breed meats and rotisserie chicken
If you’re a fan of the food at Ibai – those Galician Blond steaks! – then Harley’s is where you’ll want to be doing your meat shopping. The team behind the Farringdon restaurant, including meat supplier Txuleta and chef Richard Foster, is opening the butchery in Hampstead with seasoned butcher Oliver Harley, who’s spent time at Provenance in Chelsea.
Thanks to its access to small herds from across the UK, Harley’s will be stocking meats that are usually reserved for restaurants like Brat, Mountain, Ibai and The Devonshire, including Belted Galloway, Black Angus and Galician Blond beef. You’ll also be able to get National Burger Award-winning burgers (made from dry-aged rib caps and UK wagyu chuck), Galician Blond x Wagyu burgers, Iberico burgers and an array of sausages (we got a sneak peek of four different types).
As well as upgrading your BBQs with that meat, Harley’s will have you covered with ready-to-eat food too, so you can picnic on Hampstead Heath in style. Jumping on the rotisserie chicken trend (which we called back in 2023) Harley’s will be cooking free-range birds on specialist rotisserie machines according to Richard Foster’s recipe. You’ll be able to pick up whole chickens or get them in salads and flatbread sarnies.
Though Harley’s is opening as a retail space, we hear that dining in might be coming soon, with Richard consulting on the menu….watch this space.
