This Spitalfields-based concept is giving classic hot dogs a modern spin
After searching for the perfect beer snack, Wes Anson, Phil Curl of Kill The Cat, and chef Sebastian Cooke came up with a new kind of frankfurter and Lucky Franks was born. Developed by Sebastian (former head chef at English Restaurant in Spitalfields) and created by master sausage maker Perry of Perry’s Butchers (who’s also in Spitalfields), the franks are made with free-range pork shoulder, which is triple-ground for a smooth texture, finished with a secret blend of seasonings, and encased in natural pig skin for the perfect snap.
Served in handmade challah buns by East End neighbours Rinkoff Bakery, the dogs come with various toppings, such as:
- The O.G. – ketchup, mustard and crispy onions
- Hot Dang! – Nashville hot honey, jalapeno relish and onion rings
- Pizza Dog – spicy tomato pizza sauce and mozzarella
- High Rolla – truffle mayo, oyster mushrooms and truffle oil
