Head to the seafood bistro for a bargain lunch
Madina Kazhimova and Anna Dolgushina, the duo behind Soho’s Firebird, are doing seafood for their next act with Noisy Oyster in Shoreditch. The place is a real looker – minimalist and monochromatic interiors with plenty of stainless steel and exposed features – and the menu is more than a match, showcasing the best seafood from across the UK in dishes inspired by the coastal regions Italy, Spain, Portugal, and France.
As well as the namesake oysters served by the half dozen, dozen or individually dressed, the Noisy Oyster menu includes dishes like:
- Chalk Stream trout with amarillo peach and mint aguachile
- grilled monkfish & Tropea onion skewer with colatura di alici ‘XO’ and lardo
- red caviar toast with salmon roe and Guinness bread
- bluefin tuna steak with pink peppercorn sauce
- skate wing with peach panzanella
- crab orecchiette with bisque and fennel pollen
Just as seafood is the focus of the kitchen, it’s all about martinis at the bar. You can start with one of three mini martinis, or dive straight into a full-size serve made with either gin or vodka. There are also some fruit riffs on classic cocktails on offer plus a well-curated wine list.
