A baby boy was found dead in a black bag buried under a pile of leaves in Brooklyn, according to law enforcement sources.
The infant was found in the bag just after 11 a.m. Thursday behind a building at NYCHA’s Bayview Houses on East 102nd Street in Canarsie, between Seaview Avenue and Shore Parkway, sources said. Police said the boy was unconscious and unresponsive, and was pronounced dead shortly after.
The medical examiner will determine a cause of death. It was not immediately clear how long the boy had been left there, or how old he was.
Information regarding the child’s parents was not available. An investigation is ongoing.
