
New York City woke up to its first snow ahead of winter on Sunday, with parts of the Tri-state seeing more than 8” of snow.
Central Park recorded 2.7” of snow while parts of Staten Island and Queens received more than 5 inches of snow.
The heaviest snow fell across New Jersey, with Freehold leading the way with 9.7”. Parts of Middlesex, Monmouth & Ocean County also topped 8 inch mark. 7-9” totals were also reported in Long Island, with Commack recording 8.5”.

Much colder air is moving in behind the snow. Winds ramp up Sunday evening with gusts to 40 mph. This will push wind chills into the single digits Monday morning, for our coldest air so far this season. Temperatures stay at or below freezing through Tuesday ensuring the snow will stick around until at least midweek.
