Police in Philadelphia are searching for armed suspects who allegedly ambushed a woman in the parking garage of Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia.

Police responded to the casino parking garage in South Philadelphia shortly before midnight on Thursday (Oct. 22), 6abc first reported.
The victim, identified only as a female, told police she was ambushed by armed thieves who stole her purse, which contained $4,000 in cash. The assailants reportedly made their getaway in a white Honda Accord.
The incident occurred on the third floor of the parking garage. Anyone with information regarding the robbery is asked to call 215-686-TIPS (8477).
Philly Casino Crime Spree
In July, Casino.org reported on Philadelphia police arresting two men on criminal charges stemming from a brazen crime spree that allegedly involved dozens of parked vehicles at casinos in the city. Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday said casino surveillance video from Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia and Rivers Casino Philadelphia assisted law enforcement in identifying and locating the suspects.
Sunday said the pair, Darnell Martin, 33, and Eric Blackwell, 29, broke into at least 20 vehicles and stole personal checks, debit and credit cards, clothing, and two firearms. Sunday encouraged casino patrons to double-check that their vehicles are locked and ensure that no valuables are left in plain sight.
“This comes down to common sense,” Sunday said. “Gun owners, particularly, should be vigilant and know that weapons are valuable to thieves.”
Unlike Rivers Casino in Fishtown, which borders some of Philadelphia’s most dangerous neighborhoods, including Kensington, Live! is located in what’s considered to be a generally safe part of the city.
Live! features over 2,000 slot machines and 130 live dealer table games, plus a 30-table poker room and a FanDuel Sportsbook. The on-site hotel offers 200 guestrooms and 30 suites. The destination includes 10 restaurants and bars and the 15,000-square-foot Live! Event Center.
