Pacha Gives New York A Year-Round Home With Brooklyn Pacha’s Opening Weekend

Pacha is one of the most recognizable names in clubbing, and this summer New York finally got its own taste of it when Pacha New York opened its open-air venue. Now the brand is heading indoors for the winter. Brooklyn Pacha officially opens on the weekend of November 6 and 7, giving the city a Pacha it can dance in no matter the season, and the two opening nights are stacked from top to bottom.

The new club lives inside the former Great Hall, a room plenty of New Yorkers already have memories of. Pacha has given it a full makeover, bringing in a new sound and lighting setup while holding on to the gritty, warehouse feel that Brooklyn’s underground scene has always been known for. The goal with the space is to shrink the gap between the booth and the crowd, putting the focus squarely on the music and the people dancing to it.

Friday, November 6 gets the party started with three artists who each come at dance music from a different angle. Loco Dice, whose name has been tied to underground house and techno for well over a decade, headlines the night. He is joined by Ilario Alicante, the Italian selector whose hard-hitting techno has made him a fixture on the biggest stages in Europe, and HoneyLuv, who has quickly become one of the most talked-about names in house music over the last few years. It is a lineup that should keep the energy moving all night as the sound shifts from one artist to the next.

Saturday, November 7 turns the attention back to New York’s own history. Nervous Records was born in the city in 1991, and over 35 years the label has put out more than 5,000 records, helping carry the sound of New York house to dancefloors around the globe. To mark the anniversary, Brooklyn Pacha has brought together a lineup that represents the label’s past and present, with Louie Vega, Oscar G, Anané, and Will Automagic of The Carry Nation all on the bill, plus a surprise guest who has yet to be revealed. Few labels have meant more to house music in this city, and celebrating its birthday on the second night of a brand-new Brooklyn club feels like the right way to open things up.

With Brooklyn Pacha now in the picture, Pacha is building out two very different experiences in New York. The open-air venue handles the massive summer productions, while the new indoor club gives the brand a smaller, more focused room to keep the parties going all year. Between the two, it is clear Pacha plans on being a major part of New York nightlife for a long time.

Brooklyn Pacha opens with parties on Friday, November 6 and Saturday, November 7. Tickets and Backstage access are on sale now at brooklynpacha.com and pacha-nyc.com.
