The V&A Is Looking to Hire a Taylor Swift Superfan
If you’re really (and we mean really) into Taylor Swift, Crocs, drag, emojis or tufting, the Victoria & Albert Museum wants to hear from you. In several job postings that went live on the V&A’s website yesterday, the art and design institution put out a call for ‘Superfan Advisors’ on specific pop culture phenomena who’ll help them learn more about their current collection, as well as the “current cultural trends that will inform the future of museum collecting”. To apply, you’ll need to mention which objects you own that relate to Taylor Swift (or any of the other niche interests) and explain why your knowledge will be useful to the V&A. But, if you were hoping this was your next big career move, it looks like this is only an unpaid, zero hours contract – though you will get your travel expenses covered and a V&A membership out of it. And, if you do happen to have an extensive collection of Taylor Swift, Crocs, drag, emoji or tufting memorabilia, this sounds like it’ll at least be a lot of fun.
