Treat yourself to an Italian meat feast for less
If you’re partial to a good steak, then you need to get yourself down to Macellaio RC. The Italian restaurant group, founded by Roberto Costa, celebrates the famed Fassona Piemontese beef from North Genoa at all three of its locations in Exmouth Market, South Kensington and Soho. Beef is so central to the Macellaio RC operation that the flagship Soho restaurant is called Il Teatro Della Carne, aka butchers theatre – understated it is not.
As well as different cuts of Fassona beef, you can also get Herefordshire ribeye, Irish wagyu tomahawk, beef carpaccio, steak tartare, and cheeseburgers. And there’s plenty on the Macellaio RC menu besides beef, with dishes including gnocchi al pesto, cotoletta alla Milanese and ravioli al tocco, all made with the finest Italian produce and served alongside an Italian wine list.
