Police shot a suspect in Brooklyn on Friday evening, police sources said, leaving him in critical condition.
Officers opened fire on the suspect shortly before 5:30 p.m. at 485 E. 21st St. in Flatbush, sources said.
After the shooting a crowd gathered and began hurling objects at police, with one officer reported taken to an area hospital for treatment after being hit in the leg by a bottle. At least one person in the crowd was reported arrested.
