A Brooklyn man has been arrested and charged with setting his pregnant wife on fire as their daughter watched in horror over the weekend.

According to police sources, 44-year-old Kenneth Rickenbacher has been charged with attempted murder, arson, assault, and acting in a manner injurious to a child younger than 17. He was cuffed following the horrific attack on Saturday evening.

Cops say Rickenbacher got into a verbal dispute with his 38-year-old wife inside an apartment located at the Kingsborough Houses in Crown Heights at around 5 p.m. on Oct. 24 when he allegedly dosed her with rubbing alcohol and set her ablaze.

According to a report from News 12, the victim was pregnant at the time of the attack. Police say the couple’s 11-year-old daughter bore witness to the heinous, fiery assault.

EMS rushed the victim to Weill Cornell Hospital with severe burns to her upper body. She and her unborn baby are expected to survive.

Sources say Rickenbacher was arrested when he walked into a police precinct attempting to make a report, but was recognized and taken into custody.
