The bar has taken up residence inside the Bermonds Locke aparthotel
Since opening in Dalston in 2019, Hacha has become one of the leading agave bars in the world, regularly featuring in the Top 100 Bars in the World and the World’s 50 Best Discovery List. The Bermondsey bar shares the same focus on agave spirits, with a rotating selection of spirits available to try as a tasting flight, plus a range of signature serves, including the iconic Mirror Margarita. Made with El Rayo Plata, Hacha sour mix, cane sugar and mixed grapefruit essences, the completely clear drink created by Deano Moncrieffe, has been voted one of the best cocktails in the world and has received seven global gold medals. Mexican street food concept Nopalito is serving up a range of street tacos (which come in pairs) to go with those cocktails, including:
- pork pastor with grilled pineapple, green salsa, onion and coriander
- cochinita – slow-cooked pork with pickled onion, salsa roja and coriander
- shredded chicken tinga in a smoky tomato-chipotle sauce
- courgette with smoky roast tomatoes and garlic
- baja fish with chipotle mayo, cabbage, avocado and pico de gallo
- grilled nopales with salsa roja, onion and coriander
- grilled aubergine and halloumi with pickled onions
